Tool # 2:
I believe that building an online educational community definitely has its advantages. Many times educators find themselves searching for hours for worthwhile resources to increase student interest and participation. What a fabulous tool to have on hand when you're at wit's end!
Many of the comments that I viewed shared one common thread: Technology is the staircase to learning for our students. What stood out from the advice that I read was that we are all in this together; we are all glad to be able to share with one another; setting boundaries is very important.

I had to pick your blog just to SEE what a "Sport Nut" would post! I think that blogging will bring about more conversations between colleagues than just emailing. I like to pick people's brains for new ideas and learn from other's experiences. Amazingly, many great ideas can be used across many grade levels. It's always been difficult to find the time to brainstorm with teachers from other grades about common issues. I am hoping to set up a "Problem Pondering" blogging area where we could share ideas, everything from discipline issues to OWDL issues. As for SPORTS... GO RAVENS! Just counting down to the NFL season...
